About Exact Match Domains Work
Welcome. Here is who we are, how we research exact match domains, and how you can reach us.
About this site
Exact Match Domains Work answers one question: does a domain that exactly matches a keyword still help a website rank in Google? It is written for niche site builders, domain investors and anyone about to buy a domain who keeps hearing conflicting advice.
This site is also our live experiment. It runs on an exact match domain itself, and every month we publish how it performs, so you can see real numbers instead of opinions.
Exact Match Domains Work is part of the Niche Researchers portfolio. Everything here is written by the Niche Researchers editorial team. We publish as a team, not under personal names, because every article is a team effort: planning, researching, drafting, reviewing and checking facts.
We cover a topic properly and stop. We do not publish to fill space.
How this site earns: through Google AdSense ads, and in the future through affiliate links to domain and hosting providers. Affiliate links are always disclosed, and they never change what we research or recommend.
How we research this topic
For questions about how Google treats domain names, we go to the source: Google Search Central documentation, Google's own guide to its ranking systems, and Google's official statements, including the announcement of the 2012 exact match domain update.
For what really happens in search, we study live Google results ourselves and use our own data. This site's rankings, clicks and impressions come straight from Google Search Console and are published in our monthly tracker.
We read the original source, never a summary of a summary.
We do not physically test every product we write about. Where we have not tested something ourselves, for example a domain registrar or a hosting provider, we say so clearly and explain what our research is based on instead.
How we make our articles
We follow the same six steps for every article:
- Find the specific question. Not a broad topic, but a question a real person is searching for right now.
- Research from original sources. Official documents, manufacturer data, verified buyer feedback and published studies. We read the original, not someone else's summary of it.
- Brief the AI with clear direction. The angle, the audience, the key points and the standard to meet, the way an editor briefs a reporter.
- Read the output carefully. Every section. Anything weak, unclear or wrong gets changed. This step is never skipped.
- Verify what matters. Numbers, product details and technical facts are checked against the original source before publishing. If we cannot verify a claim, we do not publish it.
- Publish when ready. Not when a deadline says so, and not when a word count is hit.
We use AI as a research and drafting tool. The direction, the editorial decisions and the final publishing call are ours. AI assists. We create.
We update an article when something meaningful changes, and we never change dates just to look current. If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it.
